Digital Designer with UI edge
Grow is seeking a self-propelled Digital Designer with the ambition to create amazing user experiences. You should have 3+ years of professional experience and be ready to inject digital-first thinking into Grow’s design process from concept to final delivery. Collaborating with UX specialists, producers and the Design Director. You will work creatively to produce prototypes, interfaces, visual identities and original artwork optimised for digital platforms.
You should be hands-on and comfortable wearing different hats, ready to work in an agile fast-paced environment balancing multiple projects and clients. Ideally, you will have worked for another agency or as a freelancer previously as a Digital or Visual designer and are keen to bring new, fresh ideas to the table.
As a designer, you should:
Be experienced in designing for development, with a clear understanding of how design decisions effect code complexity. You should have proven experience in crafting pixel perfect deliveries for different digital devices and screens.
You should have worked with a mobile-first approach to interfaces for both web based and native apps with a clear understanding of restrictions and how to tailor design for different platforms. You should be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of responsive design and have good instincts for when to use design conventions and when to push the envelope.
You should revel in staying up-to-date with technology and design trends.
You need to be:
Self-motivated and able to run with projects without a detailed briefing.
An experienced project juggler.
Able to clearly communicate rationale for design both in internal workshops and client meetings, sometimes in English.
Master of prototyping and UI design tools including Sketch and Invision.
Live and breathe the Adobe Creative Suite.
Knowledge of HTML 5
